End of Watch: March 2, 1995

Deputy Sheriff Larry David Griffith served the citizens of Lassen County with the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office. On March 2nd, 1995 Deputy Griffith was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance at a ranch in Lassen County.

The suspect was lying in wait and ambushed Deputy Griffith as he exited his patrol car when he arrived. The suspect was ultimately apprehended and sentenced to death.

Deputy Griffith is survived by his wife, children, siblings, and grandchildren.
